The number of Botox units you need for wrinkle-free skin varies based on factors like the treatment area, your desired results, and how strong the muscles are in that area. Here's a Botox 101 of Frequently Asked Questions answered by our Certified injectors.
Q: How many units of Botox do I need do I need for forehead lines?
A: For forehead lines you might need 10-20 units
Q: How many units of Botox do I need for crow's feet?
A: Crow's feet are the fine lines and wrinkles that appear at the outer corners of the eyes. Since they appear on both sides of your face you might need 10-18 units of Botox per side.
Q: How many units of Botox do I need to reduce frown lines around my mouth?
A: For frown lines you might need 16-20 units of Botox.
We also offer lesser know alternatives to Botox including Dysport and Daxxify. All three of these work in similar ways. They differ in their potency and chemical arrangements. Our Certified Injectors can give you specific recommendations.
In general, Dysport kicks in faster than Botox at 72 hours, and Daxxify even faster at 24 hours. Daxxify also differs in that it is based on a vegan peptide instead of human-derived proteins.
All of the brands last about 12-16 weeks, with return of movement becoming noticeable around 8-10 weeks after treatment, on average.
