What Is Microneedling and How Does It Work?
Microneedling is a minimally invasive skin treatment that creates tiny, controlled channels in the skin. Microneedles are tapped into the skin creating hundreds of thousands of micro-channels, which are flooded with growth factor-rich serum. The surrounding healthy tissue of each of these channels combined with the stem cell-rich serum starts a healing process that encourages the formation of new collagen. Over time and over repetitive treatments this leads to tighter skin, scar improvement, and overall healthier-appearing skin.
Downtime is minimal, usually pinkish skin for 60-90 minutes. Results are typically seen within days to weeks.

What Is the Difference Between Microneedling and Microchanneling?
Microneedling and microchanneling describe closely related approaches to creating controlled microscopic channels in the skin to stimulate the body's natural healing and collagen-building response. At Muse, we use the term microchanneling when those tiny channels are also used as part of a treatment designed to deliver a skin-rejuvenating product, such as platelet-rich fibrin (PRF).
PRF is prepared from a small sample of your own blood. The blood is processed to separate a platelet- and growth-factor-rich fibrin component, which can then be incorporated into the microchanneling treatment.
Our approach emphasizes creating precise, controlled channels while minimizing unnecessary trauma to the surrounding skin. The goal isn't simply to create as many injuries as possible. It is to stimulate a controlled healing response that encourages collagen remodeling while protecting healthy surrounding tissue.

What Is PRF Microchanneling?
PRF microchanneling combines microneedling/microchanneling with platelet-rich fibrin prepared from your own blood. A small blood sample is drawn and processed to separate the PRF, which contains platelets, fibrin and naturally occurring growth factors. The PRF is then incorporated into the microchanneling treatment as part of the skin-rejuvenation process.
Is This RF Microneedling?
No. RF microneedling combines needles with radiofrequency energy delivered into the tissue. The additional energy is used to produce thermal effects at targeted depths for applications such as deeper tissue remodeling. Muse Medical Artistry does not offer RF microneedling.
Our microneedling and microchanneling treatments focus on controlled mechanical stimulation of the skin and can be combined with PRF for regenerative skin rejuvenation.
